Alexandria Train Station and King Street Metro
This project is an addition to the current Alexandria Train Station, where the current station will remain as a museum space. There was also a need on the site to connect the train station to the King Street Metro Station which sits 200ft south of the train station. Buildings on the train side and the metro side contain waiting areas on various levels to highlight specific moments in the surroundings as well as within the building and the steel truss bridge.
This new addition also included a memorial dedicated to Hermes and travelers everywhere. This memorial was located along the steel truss bridge that connected the train side to the metro side just as Hermes
connected both the world of the mortal and the divine. Like travelers go from one place to another to experience and see new things, this bridge highlights various moments along the path that showcases elements in the structure of the bridge that no one would have noticed before.
